Sherene Hunt, RMR, CRR, RSA
Sherene is an accredited court reporter and owner of Premiere Verbatim Reporting. She holds a Realtime Certified Reporter designation through the BC Shorthand Reporters Association as well as the Registered Merit Reporter, Certified Realtime Reporter, and Realtime Systems Administrator designations through the National Court Reporters Association.
Sherene gained very early exposure to the court reporting industry as her mother ran a firm in Red Deer, Alberta. Following in her footsteps, Sherene graduated from NAIT’s court reporting program in 2003. She began her career as an integral member of the reporting team at PVR. She has done freelance reporting work for several firms in Alberta over the years and has also worked as an official stenographer at the Senate of Canada and on the Hansard team of the Alberta Legislature.
In 2011, Sherene purchased 50% of PVR, and in 2016 became the sole shareholder. Sherene is dedicated to the success of the firm and their clients, introducing new technology, streamlining processes and mentoring new court reporters.
When not reporting, Sherene spends her time with other firm owners at international conferences learning about the latest services in the field. To relax in her spare time, she is an active member of Victoria’s dog agility club, competing with her dogs at the local and regional levels of dog agility.
